Important Information - Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Date: 03 November 2020 Category: News
With the various arrangements in place for the countries of the United Kingdom to protect the population from the spread of the Coronavirus, we understand that many of our customers may have concerns with regards to whether they can expect to receive their prescription products as normal.
We would like to reassure you that at present, we do not have any concerns about the continued supply of any manufacturers’ products.
The NHS are regularly checking with suppliers of goods and services and currently there are no issues with the availability of supplies. Therefore, GPs are being instructed not to encourage stockpiling, so we advise you to place your prescription requests as you would do normally.
We are continuing to monitor the situation as it develops and will keep you informed with any changes.
Statement from our 3rd party delivery companies
You can rest assured that PGS Global and our delivery partners have made all the contingency plans possible to ensure all our customer orders continue to be delivered on time, even in these trying times.
However, should there be significant disruption emergency options have been designed to ensure essential goods, which obviously includes medical supplies, and all key locations which includes hospitals and patients, are guaranteed to take priority.
Both of our network partners PalletTrack and APC Overnight have also implemented similar regimes, whereby same day vehicles are available should they be needed to these key delivery priorities.
